By Gloria Sarauniya Usman
ABUJA, NIGERIA September, 2025 - Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), Nigeria’s foremost digital infrastructure and shared services provider, has achieved recertification from the International Standards Organisation (ISO) across four globally recognised categories. The certifications include ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 22301 for Business Continuity Management Systems, ISO 20000 for Service Management Systems, and ISO 27001 for Information Security Management Systems.
The milestone, attained after a rigorous independent audit, reaffirms GBB’s commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and world-class digital services to government ministries, departments, agencies (MDAs), as well as private sector organisations.
“These certifications go beyond compliance; they are a statement of trust,” said Prof. Ibrahim A. Adeyanju, Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone. “For our customers, this guarantees that the services they rely on—from connectivity to cloud hosting and cybersecurity—meet the highest international standards of quality, resilience, and security.”
With this recertification, stakeholders can be confident in GBB’s ability to host sensitive government data, provide disaster recovery readiness, and enable secure digital transactions for private enterprises. The achievement also reinforces the company’s role in advancing the Federal Government’s digital economy strategy and its Integrated Digital Transformation Strategy (IDTS) 2025–2028.
Galaxy Backbone, established to drive digital inclusion and deliver shared ICT services, continues to provide a robust platform for e-governance, innovation, and sustainable economic growth across Nigeria.
