The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has called on key stakeholders to collaborate in ensuring that the admission process into the Nigeria Police Academy remains transparent, fair, and aligned with the Academy’s core values. Speaking at a stakeholders' meeting on the admissions for the Regular Course 11 of the 2024/2025 session, held at the Ministry of Police Affairs headquarters in Abuja, Gaidam emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity throughout the process.
He acknowledged that the upcoming admissions would come with unique challenges and heightened expectations, making it crucial to select candidates who not only meet academic standards but also exemplify the principles of justice, service, and resilience. “This is an opportunity to identify individuals with the integrity, dedication, and commitment necessary to serve our communities effectively,” the Minister noted.
Gaidam also highlighted the collective responsibility of the stakeholders in shaping future law enforcement leadership in Nigeria, urging them to bring forward insights, recommendations, and strategies to improve the admissions process.
He stressed the need for a unified effort to cultivate a new generation of police officers who are not only skilled but compassionate and dedicated to public service.
The Minister concluded by urging stakeholders to develop a robust and transparent framework for the 2024 post-UTME examination and the admission procedures for Cadets Regular Course 11 at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.
