ABUJA, NIGERIA August, 2024 - The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, CFR, has commended the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) for its remarkable technological advancements, innovative products, and sectoral interventions.
During a familiarization visit to NASENI, Gbajabiamila expressed his admiration for the agency's achievements, particularly under the leadership of Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, since September 2023.
The Chief of Staff, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Senator Ibrahim Hadeija, and the Permanent Secretary, State House, Engr. Olufunso Adebiyi, inspected various NASENI facilities, including the Hatch Box, Innovation Hub, Solar Irrigation Pump, and new products such as Home Solar, Prepaid Meter, Laptop, Smartphone, and Battery.
Gbajabiamila praised NASENI's commitment to aligning with the present administration's Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing the agency's crucial role in driving technological advancements and industrial growth.
He noted that NASENI's impacts, as evident in its numerous products and innovations within 11 months, demonstrate the leadership's dedication and passion.
The Chief of Staff acknowledged Nigeria's potential in technology and human resources, expressing confidence in NASENI's ability to contribute significantly to the country's technological progress.
Earlier, the EVC of NASENI, Mr. Halilu, briefed the Chief of Staff on the agency's innovations, interventions, and partnerships aimed at advancing technology transfer and aligning with the President's Renewed Hope Agenda.
