KADUNA, NIGERIA May 10, 2024 - Governor Sen. Uba Sani of Kaduna State has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for its dedication to the well-being of Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable. This came during the handover ceremony of grains from the National Strategic Reserve by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to the Kaduna State Government.
The grains, totaling 1,313 metric tonnes (26,266 bags), comprise maize, millet, and sorghum. They will be distributed to vulnerable citizens in the state, thanks to the collaborative efforts of NEMA, KADSEMA, EFCC, ICPC, DSS, NPF, and NSCDC.
Governor Sani assured that the Committee on Distribution of Palliatives will ensure fair and equitable distribution, with security agencies guaranteeing the safe transportation of the grains. He warned that any reports of hijacking or diversion will be thoroughly investigated and those responsible held accountable.
This gesture demonstrates the federal government's commitment to alleviating the challenges faced by Nigerians, and Governor Sani expressed gratitude for the support. He reaffirmed his administration's dedication to supporting the poor, vulnerable, and underserved in Kaduna State."
