Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, Inspects Police Hospitals in Abuja

In a bid to assess police infrastructure and welfare facilities, the Honourable Minister of State for Police Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, inspected three police hospitals in Abuja on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
The hospitals visited were Police Hospital Dei Dei, Police Hospital Area 1, and Muhammandu Buhari Hospital Area 11, Garki. The Minister commended the hospital staff for their dedication and resilience despite challenging circumstances.
Imaan stressed that the government recognizes the critical role of quality healthcare in the well-being of serving and retired officers, and is committed to enhancing the quality of these facilities. She assured that the government will upgrade equipment, improve infrastructure, and provide resources to support healthcare professionals.
The Force Medical Officer, CP Emmanuel N. Garba, noted that the Nigeria Police Medical Services faces challenges in disease prevention, management, and treatment, but is collaborating with the European Society for Quality Assessment (ESFEDA) for standardized laboratory services.
The Minister's commitment to enhancing police welfare and strengthening support systems was reaffirmed, aiming to establish a world-class police force that is inclusive, intelligence-led, technology-driven, and community-based.
