Researchers from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and Federal University of Technology (FUT) showcased their NASENI-funded research and development (R&D) products at the Technology Orientation Centre, NASENI headquarters, Abuja.
The presentation, witnessed by NASENI's top management, marked the culmination of a collaborative effort that began in April 2023. The researchers showcased innovative solutions for wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater purification, and nano-coating green urea fertilizer for agricultural production enhancement.
The Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive of NASENI, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, commended the professors for utilizing the funds effectively. The researchers expressed gratitude for the opportunity and highlighted key achievements, including agency-academia linkage, facility development, and human resource development.
They called for further funding to mass-produce and commercialize the products through a tripartite relationship between NASENI, academia, and private sector operators.
