ABUJA, NIGERIA,May 9, 2024 - In a major breakthrough, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launched four innovative products, marking a significant milestone in its mission to drive technological advancement and economic growth in Nigeria.
The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr Khalil Suleiman Halilu briefing the media during the unveiling of new products from the Agency at its headquarters in Abuja on Thursday May 9, 2024.
Unveiling the products at the Agency's headquarters, Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu showcased NASENI Laptop, NASENI Android smartphone, NASENI Lithium battery, and NASENI 300watts LED Solar Street Lamp. These products are already making waves in the market, with some already available for purchase and others pre-booked for the rest of the year.
This launch builds on NASENI's earlier success with its Solar Irrigation System, Electric Keke, electric Motorcycle, and Solar-powered Cargo Tricycle, unveiled during the Senate Committee's oversight visit.
According to Mr. Halilu, NASENI is dedicated to creating a Nigerian national brand and products that can compete globally. The Agency is focused on technology transfer, commercialization, and innovation, with a fast-track approach to creating jobs, wealth, and reducing import bills.
The 3Cs principles of Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialization guide NASENI's partnerships with public and private sectors, ensuring research is translated into practical solutions for end-users.
