NASENI Unveils Market-Ready Commercial Products, Showcases Electric Vehicles

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has announced that its branded commercial products are now market-ready and certified by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON).
The products include laptops, smartphones, lithium batteries, solar street lights, and electric vehicles.
NASENI's Executive Vice Chairman, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, made the announcement during an oversight visit from the House of Representatives Committee on NASENI. He highlighted the agency's transformation from research-based activities to commercialization of products and services, aiming to contribute to the national economy and achieve sustainable development goals.
The agency has established showrooms in all 36 states for product marketing and seeks continued support from lawmakers to deliver capital and consumer goods, create jobs, and drive technological advancement in various sectors.
The House Committee on NASENI expressed its readiness to support the agency in areas of appropriation and legislative framework, demanding accountability and value for money in programme implementation.
This development aims to enhance Nigeria's economy, save foreign exchange, and establish the nation as an industrial hub.
