ABUJA, NIGERIA - In a landmark move to boost Nigeria's digital landscape, the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijanni, and the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia Solutions and Networks Nigeria.
TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION
This groundbreaking partnership will see Nokia Nigeria establish a state-of-the-art 5G/4G test lab at the Nigerian Communications Commission's Digital Parks, offering cutting-edge training to young Nigerians in the latest radio and transmission technologies. This initiative aims to enhance the capacity and skills of Nigerians, equipping them with the expertise needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving telecommunications industry.
DRIVING DIGITAL LITERACY
In line with the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy's vision to drive digital literacy and build a pipeline of technical talents across Nigeria, Nokia Nigeria will also launch an Entrepreneur Learning Programme. This initiative will provide high-quality vocational training to 200 Nigerian students selected from across the six geopolitical zones, empowering them with the skills to succeed in the digital economy.
